Just a quick point about the alpha and beta isoforms of hsp90. In the article it was written that "no differences in their activities have been identified", with the reference dating to 1985. I'd like to bring to your attention a review by Amere Subbarao Sreedhar, Eva Kalmar, Peter Csermely and Yu-Fei Shen titled "Hsp90 isoforms: functions, expression and clinical importance" published in FEBS Letters 562 (2004) 11-15. This article summarises the differences between the activities of the hsp90 alpha and beta isoforms, of which there are many. Conflict of Interest:None declared |
