gefitinib for hormone-resistant and hormone receptor-negative advanced breast cancer

Preclinical studies have indicated a potential role for gefitinib
in the treatment of breast cancer. In experiments with MCF7
cells resistant to tamoxifen and the antiestrogen fulvestrant,
increased dependence on epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)
