Successful treatment of malignant pheochromocytoma with combination chemotherapy containing anthracycline

Malignant pheochromocytomas are rare, accounting for ~10% of all cases of pheochromocytoma. The prognosis is poor because of local recurrence or widespread metastasis [1]. To date, there has been no established chemotherapy for malignant pheochromocytoma.
