Oral ibandronate is as active as intravenous zoledronic acid for reducing bone turnover markers in women with breast cancer and bone metastases
Ann Oncol 2007; 18: 1165–1171On page 1168, there should be no reference to Table 3 at the end of the first paragraph in the section on safety. This paragraph should read:
Both oral ibandronate 50 mg and i.v. zoledronic acid 4 mg were well tolerated. The proportion of patients who experienced any adverse event seemed lower with ibandronate than with zoledronic acid (65.0% versus 75.9%), as was the incidence of adverse events considered treatment related by the investigator (21.9% versus 51.1%).
