After showing an improvement in survival, dose-dense doxorubicin–cyclophosphamide
followed by a taxane has been widely used, especially for patients
with node-positive breast cancer, with a beneficial effect on
survival. Although dose-dense chemotherapy (DDC) is generally
well tolerated, some women develop significant dyspnea that
