Long-term prediction by clinicopathological risk classification algorithms in node-negative breast
|
|---|
Consensus recommendations now propose adjuvant systemic therapy
for virtually all breast cancer patients, yet the potential
adverse effects of adjuvant therapy can negatively affect quality
of life. In order to avoid overtreatment as well as undertreatment,
the appropriate treatment strategy must be selected on the basis
of careful risk assessment for each individual patient. The
single most important histopathological factor for risk stratification
in primary breast cancer is nodal status.
